Completed the swim in 8 hours and 25 minutes!! and even managed a leap as I reached the beach!!
Conditions meant that by the time we'd got to the beach I'd swam 17.5 miles!
Will write soon.....am resting my weary arms!

Most people are happy with a cake, a drink and a party when they reach 50, but for my 50th birthday in 2009, I have chosen to swim from Ailsa Craig to Girvan beach instead. I want to raise as much money as possible for Alzheimer's Scotland.
